Peter Lenkov

Executive Producer and Showrunner, Hawaii Five-0 & MacGyver

Peter M. Lenkov has been a writing producer of movies and television shows for over 20 years.

In 2010, Lenkov launched HAWAII FIVE-0, the reboot of the classic series, which currently airs on the Network, and in over 200 countries around the world.  Prior to HAWAII FIVE-0, Lenkov served as executive producer on CSI: NY, also on the Network, for which he won a Media Access Award. Notably, acclaimed actor Ed Asner earned an Emmy Award nomination for his guest-starring role in a CSI: NY episode which Lenkov wrote.

Lenkov’s additional television credits include 24, for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Drama Series in 2005, The District, on the Network, and La Femme Nikita.  Also, he co-produced the miniseries XIII, based on the popular graphic novel and video game of the same name, and created Metajets and Kung Fu Dino Posse, two new animated television shows.


On the big screen, Lenkov has written and produced several films, including Demolition Man, starring Sylvester Stallone and Sandra Bullock, Son in Law and Jury Duty.


In 2013, Universal released the film R.I.P.D., which starred Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Bacon and was based on the comic book written by Lenkov for Dark Horse Publishing. Lenkov's second comic book series, Fort: Prophet of the Unexplained, was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award in 2002.
