Emmy Award-winning writer and executive producer Nicholas Wootton has worked on some of the most intriguing and popular television series of the past 20 years. Most recently, he was the creator and showrunner of the cop drama Golden Boy, on the Network, and served as consulting producer and writer on the series The Tomorrow People.

Wootton began his career in Hollywood as a writer on NYPD Blue, eventually rising to executive producer on the acclaimed series. In 1998, he won both an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series and the Humanitas Prize for his work on the episode of that show titled Lost Israel. In 1999, Wootton was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series and shared that year’s Outstanding Drama Series nomination with executive producers David Milch and Steven Bochco.

Wootton continued his association with Steven Bochco and David Milch on the cop drama Brooklyn South, on the Network. Under Bochco, Wootton wrote and produced series, including City of Angels and Blind Justice, before joining Dick Wolf’s Law & Order. He worked as a writer and producer on the television series Prison Break and Chuck.
